The Cube didn't begin as an invention. It began as a question that followed me through nearly every stage of my life. Why do some people adapt while others get stuck? I wasn't asking that question in those words when I was younger, but I was living it. School, the military, logistics, massage therapy, dance, music festivals, entrepreneurship, and eventually neuroscience all gave me different pieces of the same puzzle. Each experience taught me something about how people respond to uncertainty, pressure, and change. The Cube became the place where those observations could finally come together. It wasn't built to prove a theory. It was built to keep asking better questions.
What surprises most people is how simple it looks. A frame, elastic cords, colored targets, and enough space to move. There are no screens, no virtual reality headsets, and no complicated technology. The complexity doesn't come from the equipment; it comes from the interaction. Every task introduces just enough uncertainty for your nervous system to begin adapting without becoming overwhelmed. There isn't one correct way to move through the Cube because the goal isn't perfect performance. The goal is to observe how you naturally respond, then create new opportunities to explore different possibilities. Over time, those small interactions begin to carry over into everyday life.
Over more than a decade, thousands of interactions inside the Cube changed the way I understood learning. I stopped seeing movement as exercise and started seeing it as conversation. People weren't simply reaching for colored balls or following instructions. They were revealing habits, discovering strengths, noticing patterns, and finding solutions that no amount of explanation could have given them. Every person who stepped into the Cube became part of its development. In many ways, I didn't teach the Cube what it knows; the people who entered it did. My role has simply been to keep listening, keep refining, and keep building an environment where discovery remains possible.
