Why human

Another person can change what happens next.

A real person is not optimized around you. They notice different things, move at a different time, misunderstand, adapt, laugh, hesitate, and surprise you. That independent presence is not noise in the experience. It is part of the value.

Full resolution

People do more than exchange information.

Physical presence carries tone, timing, posture, breathing, facial expression, distance, orientation, touch, and immediate feedback. People can watch their effect on one another while they are producing it.

MOVE creates conditions where people do not merely describe an experience to each other. They generate the experience together.

From scenery to somebody

A reason to become relevant.

Notice

Someone moves something in the shared environment.

Register

You realize that their action has changed what is available to you.

Respond

You do something with the new situation without being assigned the correct response.

Reciprocate

They now encounter a world that includes what you just did.

The third thing

Interaction does not always have to begin face-to-face.

Direct interaction can carry pressure: me looking at you, trying to think of what to say. A shared object, changing environment, or ridiculous problem gives attention somewhere else to land.

The Cube can become the third thing between people: ME → SOMETHING ← YOU. Once interaction begins, the object may matter less. The people have a legitimate reason to respond to one another.

MOVE does not promise friendship, belonging, or connection. It creates circumstances where interaction can emerge without becoming an assignment.

Not anti-technology

The screen matters. So does the world around it.

Technology can extend reach, support accessibility, and make remarkable things possible. The concern is not the existence of a screen. It is what becomes less available when any focal object occupies the whole field.

MOVE gives the surrounding world another chance to become behaviorally relevant: footsteps, a moving cord, a changing path, somebody laughing, something unexpected beside you.

Build a world worth looking up for.

The machine is not necessarily the most interesting thing in the room. The people are.
